What are weight loss medications?
Tirzepatide is a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved medication for use in weight loss in addition to increased physical activity and reduced calorie diet in people who are at least overweight (BMI of 27 or higher) and at least have one weight related health condition such as abnormal cholesterol levels, high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes.
Semaglutide is a FDA approved medication for use in reduction of the risk of adverse cardiovascular events in adults who are obese or overweight or for use in reduction in excess body weight and maintain weight reduction long term in people with obesity or in overweight adults with a weight related health condition.
Liraglutide is a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved medication for use in chronic weight management in addition to a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity in adults with obesity or in adults who are overweight and have at least one weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, or high cholesterol.
